At Brad’s Tree Service, we know that life hasn’t been easy for many families in our community. Between rising costs and the aftermath of recent storms, some homeowners are struggling just to keep up with urgent tree care needs. That’s where Roots of Kindness comes in.
Each month, we’re giving back by providing one free tree job to a local homeowner in need. Whether it’s a dangerous tree that needs removal, storm damage that needs cleaning up, or another urgent tree concern, we want to help lighten the load for families who otherwise couldn’t afford it.
This is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us since day one. Together, we can make sure no one is left behind when it comes to safety, security, and peace of mind.
👉 Nominate someone below today and help us spread strong roots of kindness throughout our community.

You can nominate a friend, family member, neighbor, or even yourself. We understand that many families are struggling right now, and we want to help wherever it’s needed most.
No, you don’t need permission to submit a nomination. If the person you nominated is selected, we will contact them directly — and we’ll need their consent before any work can be done on their property.
You can choose to nominate anonymously (we will never share your information), or you’re welcome to let them know about your good deed yourself!
Yes! Self-nominations are welcome.
The nominated property must be located in Barrie, Ontario, or within about an hour’s drive of Barrie.
The selected job will be tailored to the homeowner’s most urgent tree needs. This may include tree removal, pruning, or storm cleanup. The scope will be determined based on safety and practicality.
At the end of each month, our team reviews all nominations. We select one homeowner based on need, safety concerns, and overall impact for the family.
Nominations do not carry over. But you are welcome (and encouraged!) to re-submit each month if the need is still there.
If your nomination is chosen, we’ll reach out directly to the homeowner to schedule the work. We’ll also notify the person who submitted the nomination.
No. This program is completely free for the selected homeowner — it’s our way of giving back to the community.
Each month’s free project is chosen based on need and practicality. While we’d love to do it all, the job size will be limited to what our crew can safely complete in a single day.
Roots of Kindness is designed to support local homeowners in need. At this time, we do not extend the program to businesses or income properties.
There’s no limit. If your nominee isn’t chosen this month, you can re-submit each month as long as the need is still there.
